Intelassist Joins PCEPSDI’s Trees for Sustainability Program

August 16, 2025

In support of environmental stewardship and collective climate action, Intelassist participated in the Philippine Center for Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development, Inc (PCEPSDI) Trees for Sustainability program at the U.P. Laguna-Quezon Land Grant in Siniloan, Laguna. The initiative aimed to promote reforestation, restore natural ecosystems, and encourage corporate collaboration toward a greener future.

Ten Intelassist volunteers from various departments—including HR, IT, Procurement, Accounting, and Maintenance—took part in the activity. Following a brief orientation on proper planting techniques, each participant planted two seedlings in designated areas. Despite alternating rain and sunshine, the team remained energetic and united in their commitment to sustainability.
“It was truly a fulfilling experience,” shared one volunteer.

The event also brought together employees from other organizations, reflecting the shared sense of responsibility among corporate and community partners. The day concluded safely and successfully, with everyone returning home inspired and connected by a common purpose.

Intelassist extends its appreciation to the Engagement Team, led by Isabel and Giljane, for organizing the activity and coordinating with PCEPSDI.

As the team proudly echoed throughout the day, “Trees for Sustainability. Puno ang Solusyon!”
(A play on words in Tagalog, meaning both “trees are the solution” and “full of solutions”.)

“Seeing our small actions contribute to something lasting reminded us that growth, like these trees, takes care and consistency.” – Isabel Gutierrez, Engagement Specialist

Leadership Summit with Francis Kong

September 06, 2025

Intelassist held its second annual Leadership Summit on September 6th, featuring renowned Filipino speaker, author, and corporate trainer Francis Kong. The event brought together Intelassist leaders for a day of insights, reflection, and strategies to equip leaders to move with confidence in an era of disruption.

Francis Kong, widely recognized for his ability to inspire professionals and organizations to thrive amid chaos, delivered a seminar underscoring the urgency of becoming future-fit. Drawing from his decades of experience, he noted: “The world is changing so fast; it surprises even a veteran like me. But every disruption is an opportunity.”
His seminar explored the evolution of digital transformation, from the early hype of 2019 to its accelerated adoption during the pandemic, to today’s frontiers in artificial intelligence and quantum computing. He emphasized that while AI is transforming industries, it cannot replicate uniquely human qualities such as creativity, intuition, and spontaneity.

“Gut feel matters,” Kong said, “but only after you’ve read the data.” He emphasized that intuition has value only when grounded in facts and analysis, especially in a business landscape where speed and accuracy are critical.

He also noted the rising gap between average and exceptional performance: “The best employees today can outperform the average by as much as 240%, a significant increase from the 40% margin of past decades.” For leaders, he explained, this shift means developing and retaining top talent is no longer optional, but a key driver of growth.
Throughout the session, Intelassist employees engaged directly with Kong, asking about managing overstimulation, work-life balance, intergenerational leadership, and
overcoming mistakes. His answers stressed humility
respect, critical thinking, and resilience.

With Kong’s message and the voices of its employees, the summit underscored Intelassist’s commitment to nurturing resilience, innovation, and leadership as the company expands its global presence.

“Francis Kong’s talk reaffirmed what we already know as leaders. Growth is sustained when people feel secure, valued, and a genuine sense of belonging. It’s our priority as leaders to extend grace and provide the support each person needs to thrive.” – Annabelle Maruquez

Lia Nicodemus, Talent Acquisition Specialist

July 2025

July’s employee spotlight was on Marithe Loulia “Lia” Nicodemus from the Talent Acquisition team. With over a decade of experience in recruitment, Lia has built a career rooted in consistency, curiosity, and genuine care for people. She’s worked across multiple industries, joined different types of teams, and has met all kinds of personalities along the way. Some experiences pushed her to grow. Others helped her slow down and reflect. But through all of them, she’s stayed focused on improving, not just as a recruiter, but as a teammate and professional.

When Lia joined Intelassist nearly three years ago, she immediately noticed something different. “There’s a level of openness here that’s rare,” she shares. “Leaders are approachable. You’re encouraged to speak up. People genuinely care about one another. That kind of culture gives you room to grow, not just perform.”
As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, Lia works on a wide variety of roles —something she says keeps the work interesting and challenging in the best way. “Every position is unique. It requires a different approach and a willingness to understand what the client really needs. It’s never boring.” She enjoys learning the ins and outs of new roles, aligning the right candidates to the right opportunities, and collaborating with different departments to get the job done well.

Still, what makes her role truly meaningful is the human element. “I appreciate the trust we build with candidates and hiring managers alike,” she says. “It’s fulfilling to know you’ve helped someone take a step toward a better career, or supported a team by finding the right fit.” One piece of advice that has shaped Lia’s perspective over the years is simple: enjoy the process. “We’re often in a rush to get to the next milestone or goal. But I’ve learned that growth happens when you slow down enough to absorb the lessons along the way. The challenges, the progress, the small improvements, they all matter.”

When asked about the people who’ve made the biggest impact on her career at Intelassist, Lia doesn’t hesitate to credit her team. “The Talent Acquisition team has been a constant source of support. They’ve helped me through the ups and downs, listened when I needed space to think, and reminded me that I wasn’t alone. We’re not trying to be perfect; we’re trying to be there for each other. That makes a difference.”

Outside of work, Lia values her time with family and friends, and often finds balance by disconnecting when she can. She believes that making clear boundaries between work and personal life has helped her stay grounded and avoid burnout.

Lia’s approach to recruitment is calm, thoughtful, and people-centered. She brings patience, clarity, and intention to every search, and for Intelassist, that kind of consistency is what sets her apart.

Marianne Cordova, Accountant

August 2025

When Marianne Cordova joined Intelassist in 2021, she was a young professional eager to learn and determined to grow. She stepped into the role of accountant, taking on the responsibility of managing bookkeeping, disbursements, payables, and ensuring every financial transaction was accurate.

What truly shaped Marianne’s journey was not just the work, but the people around her. “I met mentors who were supportive, compassionate, and empowering,” she shares. “They trusted me with important responsibilities and believed in my abilities. That trust has been one of the biggest reasons I’ve chosen to stay.”

Handling multiple deadlines and competing priorities taught Marianne how to stay organized under pressure. She learned to set clear priorities, separate what is urgent from what can wait, work toward effective solutions, and pause to gain clarity when needed. “Sometimes slowing down helps you achieve better results,” she explains.

One piece of advice that has guided her career is to go beyond simply listening and focus on truly understanding others. “It has helped me work more efficiently, build stronger relationships, and collaborate better with my colleagues,” she says.

To new hires, Marianne offers simple but valuable guidance. “Do not rush to impress. Take the time to observe, understand the culture, and adapt. When you really know your environment, you can naturally deliver work that makes a lasting impact.”

Marianne’s journey shows how growth can come from mentorship, trust, and a commitment to learning. By staying curious and open, she has become an essential part of Intelassist’s finance team and an example of how the right environment helps people thrive.

They trusted me with important responsibilities and believed in my abilities. That trust has been one of the biggest reasons I’ve chosen to stay.
