Sustaining Engagement Through Inclusive Holiday Initiatives
April-June 2025
A series of holiday-themed events: Easter Egg Hunt, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day were held across Q2 to create points of joy and recognition for Intelassist’s employees, especially those working the night shift or onsite roles.
These initiatives support Intelassist’s retention and morale-building strategy by providing visible, recurring appreciation in formats that resonate with employees.
The Easter Egg Hunt brought friendly competition to the workplace, distributing cash prizes among 300+ onsite employees. Mothers received floral hair clips on Mother’s Day as a token of gratitude for their balancing act between work and home life. Father’s Day tokens were distributed during the 3:00 AM shift.
Each effort was modest in form but high in resonance to create visible touchpoints of appreciation without disrupting operations.
“These moments show that we see our people, not just their output,” shared Cherrie Salazar, Country Manager. “We’ve seen a correlation between these efforts and stronger staff sentiment in our engagement surveys.”

2025 Company Basketball Cup

April-June 2025
Over the course of Q2, Intelassist hosted an internal Basketball Cup, taking place every Friday of April through June with participation from both day and night shift employees.
As Intelassist continues to grow, so does the need to create intentional touchpoints that support retention, encourage teamwork, and sustain employee engagement across shifts and departments. The Basketball Cup served as one such initiative.
A special shoutout to Intelassist employees: JL Lopez for volunteering as our photographer for the event and Jodie Abejuela who served as the team muse.
“Events like this help remind us that high performance is about the relationships that power our teams,” noted Renz Alvaran, Senior Operations Manager.

Operational Alignment During Admin Market
May 29, 2025
A variation of Intelassist’s Morning Market, Admin Market was created to build operational consistency among Intelassist’s internal support units, including Accounting, IT, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Procurement, and HR to reflect on recurring friction points in workflow handoffs and cross-team collaboration.
During the session, departments identified gaps in coordination during onboarding and payroll transitions, as well as opportunities to improve visibility in SLA adherence and forecasting. This initiative directly supports Intelassist’s broader operational goal of reducing internal blockers and improving service continuity as support volumes scale alongside headcount.

Leadership support from VP of Human Resources, Dino Maruquez and CFO Annabelle Maruquez reinforced the message that alignment is a shared responsibility, not a
siloed task. The session concluded with a roadmap for mid-quarter follow-ups to monitor progress on identified action items.
“When our support teams work in sync, the entire operation benefits. Admin Market allows us to align in real-time before small issues turn into system-wide delays.” – Zaljane Lojoya, HR Supervisor
Team Building
Team Building Offsite for Healthcare Team
June 7, 2025
In June 2025, one of our healthcare client teams hosted an offsite team-building event. While remote staffing offers flexibility and scalability, it also requires intentional opportunities for human connection to sustain trust and engagement over time.
Activities included cheering competitions, team challenges, karaoke, and a playful internal pageant. Beyond the fun, these moments created space for cultural exchange and psychological safety, both of which are critical to high-functioning distributed teams.
As one team member reflected, “We’re all very different, but we’ve grown into a team that understands and supports one another. That kind of connection takes time and moments like this.”
The event was organized by team leads Joshua Avellano and Marlon Agustin, with support from Zandro Buazon and Marthel Jimenez, whose coordination helped ensure a meaningful and memorable experience for the entire group.

A Glimpse into Filipino Heritage with Flores de Mayo
May 7, 2025
On May 7, Intelassist hosted “Grace in Bloom” in celebration of Flores de Mayo, a cherished Filipino tradition marked by floral offerings and culminating in the Santacruzan–a symbolic procession honoring the search for the True Cross. The event brought together over 500 employees and featured broad participation from both our internal teams and client representatives.
Our visiting clients expressed appreciation for the experience, noting that events like these create opportunities to connect on a more human level, beyond roles and deliverables.
“Witnessing the cultural pride of the team deepens our appreciation of who we’re working with.”

Shirley Ndagha, French Supervisor
June 2025
Not all heroes wear capes. Some carry a passion for service, a calm voice, and a heart that shows up for others every. single. day.
In June, we put the spotlight on Shirley Ndagha, our French Supervisor, whose journey at Intelassist continues to inspire.
Shirley joined in January 2022 as a French–bilingual customer service rep. From her earliest calls, she stood out, calm, knowledgeable, and fully in command. What she didn’t know? One of those calls was being monitored. Her performance set the tone for everything that followed.
Just six months in, Shirley volunteered to step up as a Subject Matter Expert. No title. No pay bump. Just a drive to uplift her team. As she puts it: “I love what I do, so I do what I love… with additional love.”
Her calm demeanor quickly became her superpower. In one standout moment, a frustrated customer was ready to walk away. Shirley asked for one last chance. She took ownership, solved the issue, and turned the situation around -earning a heartfelt thank–you note from the customer that same day.
In March 2024, Shirley’s dedication was formally recognized with an official SME promotion. By October, she stepped into her current role as Supervisor, continuing to lead with heart, purpose, and quiet strength.
One client recently described her performance during a business review as “impressive” and “outstanding.” We couldn’t agree more.
Shirley credits her growth to the mentorship she’s received, especially from Intelassist CFO Annabelle Basina–Maruquez, whose steady leadership has made a lasting impact.
Off the clock, Shirley’s just as dynamic. Reading, singing, dancing, cooking, designing… you name it, she brings creativity and joy to everything she does.
Shirley, thank you for being a shining example of what it means to lead with both skill and heart. We’re so proud you’re part of the Intelassist family.
“I love what I do, so I do what I love… with additional love”

Celebrating Diversity and Belonging During Pride Month
June 28, 2025
Intelassist capped off Q2 with a Pride Month celebration featuring a rainbow flag hunt, photo booth, and local food stall experience (highlighted by the Giant Taho station). The initiative encouraged participation across all levels and served as a lighthearted but visible affirmation of our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Events like these contribute to Intelassist’s long–term DEI strategy, helping to embed inclusion into the day–to–day employee experience.
The activity earned strong internal feedback, especially for its accessibility and balance of fun and purpose. Social media shares extended the event’s reach and reinforced company culture online.
“Diversity isn’t just something we say. It’s something we celebrate,” said HR team member El Parcon, who helped coordinate the event.

Anthony Idolor, Accounts Payable Team Lead
June 2025
Leadership isn’t always loud. Sometimes it shows up in the details: in the systems improved, the teams empowered, and the steady drive to do better every day.
In June, we put the spotlight Anthony Idolor, our Accounts Payable Team Lead, whose dedication to excellence and team development has made a lasting impact at Intelassist.
Anthony plays a crucial role in our Financial Operations department, leading a team responsible for invoice processing, payment management, compliance, and reporting.
“I enjoy my job most when I’m helping the team grow professionally,” Anthony shares. “Watching them build their skills and achieve their goals is incredibly fulfilling. I’m most inspired when we work through tough challenges together.”
One standout achievement in Anthony’s journey was leading the automation of a once time–consuming, error–prone consolidated invoice processing system. By implementing a Power BI solution to auto–generate invoice details, Anthony and his team significantly cut down on manual work and improved accuracy. “That project taught me there’s always room to improve. You just have to stay open to learning and proactive in making change happen.”
That drive for innovation is matched by Anthony’s commitment to Intelassist’s values. Integrity, transparency, and accountability are cornerstones of how he works and how he leads. “I make sure financial transactions are processed honestly and accurately. It builds trust within our team and with our clients.”
Anthony credits much of his professional growth to the mentorship of Senior Operations Manager Renz Alvaran and Country Manager Cherrie Salazar, who have helped shape his leadership style. “They’ve guided me through complex situations and taught me the importance of leading with. empathy and integrity. Their belief in continuous development has pushed me to always keep growing.”
Outside of work, Anthony recharges by spending quality time with loved ones and exploring new places. “Travel and experiencing new cultures give me a fresh perspective,” he says. “It helps me come back to work reenergized.” He also makes sure to draw clear lines between personal and professional time, something he believes is key to avoiding burnout.
And here’s a fun fact: Anthony can do manicures, pedicures, and even nail extensions! “I was forced to learn to save money,” he laughs. (Multi–talented is an understatement.)
For new employees just starting their Intelassist journey, Anthony offers this advice: “Stay positive and adaptable. Ask for feedback. And build strong relationships. You’ll find support and opportunities in places you don’t expect.”
“I enjoy my job most when I’m helping the team grow professionally. Watching them build their skills and achieve their goals is incredibly fulfilling. I’m most inspired when we work through tough challenges together.”
