Future-Fit Leadership with Francis Kong at Intelassist’s Leadership Summit
At Intelassist’s recent Leadership Summit, one observation from celebrated Filipino speaker Francis Kong set the tone for the entire day: “I can tell this company has a great culture just by seeing the people in the room and how they interact.” That culture—collaborative, supportive, and growth-oriented—was on full display as leaders and employees came together to explore what it means to be “future-fit” in an era of rapid change.

The pace of change
Francis Kong, a veteran in business leadership, admitted even he is surprised at how quickly the world is evolving. Digital transformation, once just hype in 2019, became a necessity in 2020 with the rise of Zoom and GCash during the pandemic. Today, AI, quantum computing, and wearable technologies are already reshaping industries.
His message was clear: disruption is constant, but it can be a catalyst for opportunity. Companies that invest in efficiency, financial health, and adaptability are those that thrive. Yet technology alone is not the answer. As Kong warned, “AI will speed up inefficiency if the company is inefficient.”
Human qualities that endure
For all the talk about AI, Kong emphasized what it cannot replicate: creativity, intuition, and emotional intelligence. He explained that “creativity is about accumulating dots of information and connecting them when you need to find a solution.” Innovation, in other words, comes not from shortcuts but from a habit of continuous learning and the ability to connect knowledge in new ways.
This message resonated strongly at Intelassist, where employees are encouraged to keep building skills, expanding their perspective, and finding fresh approaches to client challenges. It underscored the idea that while technology can accelerate processes, it is human curiosity and problem-solving that ultimately drive sustainable growth.
When asked how to manage overstimulation in today’s information-heavy world, he advised: “Filter your mind and only allow in what adds value. Be selective and practice critical thinking.” On leadership across generations, his guidance was simple yet profound: humility and respect. And when mistakes inevitably happen? Own them, correct them, and acknowledge them—because vulnerability earns trust.
Voices from within Intelassist
The summit was also an opportunity to spotlight Intelassist’s own employees. From Rolex, a four-year veteran and top performer on Project Omega, to Dimples, who has been with the company for seven years, employees shared stories of stepping out of comfort zones, gaining leadership opportunities, and building lifelong friendships.
Others highlighted Intelassist’s trust-based leadership, continuous learning culture, and flexibility to pursue further education while working. As Oscar from Project Omega put it, “There are leaders we can depend on. It’s continuous learning, but also teaching.” These reflections echo Kong’s belief that the best employees are those empowered by
supportive environments—employees who, in today’s world, can deliver more than twice the value of the average.
