A Warm Welcome to Our Q1 2025 New Hires

January-March 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, we welcomed new hires across several departments and continued a small but intentional practice: sharing a meal with each new group on their first day. It’s a modest gesture, but one that’s helped ease first-day nerves, create early connection, and reinforce a supportive environment from the start.

We’ve learned over time that how we bring people into the organization matters—not just for morale, but for retention and performance. While we’re still refining what a great onboarding experience looks like, early feedback and internal data have pointed us in the right direction. So far, we’ve seen that employees who feel connected early on are significantly more likely to stay and succeed in their roles.

These efforts aren’t just about building a positive culture internally. They’re about building the foundation for the kind of consistency, accountability, and team stability our clients rely on. Every new hire becomes part of the teams our clients interact with day to day. The better we support and engage our people, the better we’re able to deliver long-term, high-quality work.

New hires have shared that even small efforts like a welcome lunch set the tone early.

“It helped me feel comfortable immediately—not just with my team, but with the culture.”

“It was a clear signal that Intelassist values its people.”

We don’t claim to have everything figured out—but we’re committed to learning, improving, and investing in what we’ve seen makes a difference. And so far, starting with connection is proving to be one of them.

Morning Market on Leadership Gratitude in Practice

February 11, 2025

On February 11 and 14, 2025, Intelassist held the year’s first Morning Market—a two-day session designed for the administration team and team leaders, respectively. The event brought together over 50 participants for an early morning session focused on a single, relevant theme: leadership gratitude.

The format encouraged reflection and peer exchange. Attendees were asked to articulate their personal understanding of gratitude in leadership—not as a concept, but as something practiced in daily interactions. Discussions were informal but intentional, supported by a collaborative group activity that challenged leaders to prioritize under pressure and examine their values as a team.

Participants also shared ideas on how leadership gratitude can be modeled within their teams and translated into consistent behaviors—through recognition, empathy, and active support. The tone of the event was grounded, with an emphasis on listening and connection rather than formal presentation.

“It’s rare that we get space to pause and reflect on what kind of leaders we’re becoming,” said Jeazel Magnaye, Talent Acquisition Supervisor. “This session was a reminder that leadership isn’t about position—it’s about presence, and the impact we leave on the people we lead.”

Team Lead Des Montoya served as the guest speaker, offering a personal reflection on her leadership journey during the early days of the pandemic. Her remarks were candid and well-received, illustrating the tension between adaptability and consistency, and the importance of leading from a place of care. She underscored that leadership is not static, and that growth requires sustained self-awareness and commitment to others.

The event was made possible through the support of the HR Admin team and HR Supervisor Zaljane Lojoya. Morning Market will continue to evolve, but its early success confirmed the need for deliberate, low-structure spaces where leaders can engage directly with one another and the work of leading well.

Employee Appreciation Day

March 7, 2025

Intelassist held its annual Employee Appreciation Day, bringing together nearly 200 night shift employees for a series of engaging activities designed to recognize the team’s dedication and foster a sense of camaraderie across the organization.

Held during off-hours to accommodate our night shift workforce, the event prioritized visibility and recognition for a group that often works behind the scenes. The day’s activities combined light competition and surprise incentives, reinforcing Intelassist’s ongoing commitment to cultivating a supportive and appreciative workplace culture.

The day opened with a Speed Typing Contest—an individual challenge that encouraged friendly competition and brought a high-energy start to the event. This was followed by the Finders Keepers activity, which required employees to locate hidden task slips throughout the office and complete small challenges to earn prizes. This format encouraged movement, quick thinking, and team interaction in an informal and engaging way.

The event concluded with a Spin and Win Raffle, offering participants a chance to win cash prizes. While the incentive was a draw, the value of the moment came from shared laughter, participation across departments, and visible enthusiasm—even from those coming off long overnight shifts.

Leadership observed particularly strong engagement during the Finders Keepers activity, where employees’ energy and excitement stood out. Despite the early morning hours, participation levels remained high throughout the event—demonstrating that recognition doesn’t always have to be formal to be meaningful.

Employee Appreciation Day serves as one of several touchpoints where Intelassist reinforces its people-first commitment. While our formal systems support performance and development, these moments of shared experience continue to play an important role in morale, retention, and team cohesion—especially for teams operating around the clock.
